I offer counselling supervision in Poole and Ringwood. I am a Humanistic/Integrative counsellor offering individual and group supervision to qualified and trainee counsellors.

My aim with supervision is to encourage good counselling practice so that your clients receive the best help possible from you and that you feel supported and enabled in your work.

How I supervise

I aim to create a supportive relationship where you can bring any issues that you need to explore in relation to your client work, work environment and whatever else is impacting on your work. It can be an opportunity to receive consultative support. I want to encourage you to share what is going well and what you need assistance with. You will be enabled to review your work in a facilitative way encouraging you to find your way forward with your clients and also to constructively think about new ways of working when appropriate. I work with you in the way that you like to work and learn in accordance with your chosen models of counselling. I will help you to work with boundaries in a safe way for your clients and yourself.

Many of you will be working in organisations and agencies and will want to talk about your experiences of delivering counselling within the particular policies of your organisation with the opportunities and issues that creates.
My qualifications and experience

I hold a teaching qualification and have taught on a Diploma in Counselling where I taught Gestalt theory and skills. I have also led personal development and supervision groups on the course and taught the client work and supervision module.

I hold a Diploma in counselling and a Certificate in counselling supervision. I hold a Certificate in couples counselling from Metanoia.

I have counselled in primary care, occupational health, further education and private practice settings.

I have supervised counsellors working in:

  • Private practice
  • NHS in primary care, occupational health and cancer care
  • Further education and schools with teenagers
  • Social services
  • Agencies for bereavement, rape and sexual assault, drug and alcohol, young people, CAB

I have supervised qualified Humanistic, Integrative, volunteer and trainee counsellors.
